Microsoft Mobile Internet

Mobile Information Server (MIS) allows users to browse, for example, their Microsoft Outlook contacts from any WAP-enabled mobile device, and to receive SMS notification of e-mails. The system is fully integrated into Microsoft Exchange 2000 and Windows 2000 Server, and has been installed by major GSM service providers worldwide.

Working closely with the software development team in Stockholm, Sweden and the Microsoft documentation team in Redmond, USA, HTP researched and documented changes to Active Directory, produced online help and product release notes, ensured that user interfaces such as error or information messages contained useful information, and produced an installation document set for GSM service providers.

HTP ensured that the documentation produced was technically correct and on schedule to meet development and production software releases. The documentation was aimed at IT professionals and site administrators and included:
